What will happen at my appointment?
The first appointment lasts 45 - 60 minutes and consists of a discussion of the problem followed by an assessment and initial treatment. Subsequent treatment sessions last 30 minutes and aim to treat the problem and provide a rehabilitation programme and advice on prevention to avoid recurrence.
Do I need to bring anything?
Physiotherapy involves observation of posture and movement therefore for back and lower limb problems it may be appropriate for you to bring shorts to change into for your treatment. For assessment of shoulder and neck problems we recommend that women bring a vest top.
How do I pay?
The majority of our clients pay directly for their treatment. We accept cash, cheques and debit card payment.
I have health insurance, will I be covered?
Most private health insurance schemes provide cover for physiotherapy treatment. Physiofit is registered as a provider for BUPA, AXA and WPA. You need to contact your health insurer direct before your first appointment to make a claim for treatment on your policy.
Physiofit is also registered with other health insurance providers such as Aviva, Cigna and Vitality as well as schemes such as Simply Health and Westfield Health, which will reimburse some of the cost of physiotherapy treatment. You will be asked to pay at each treatment and will be provided with a receipt which can be forwarded to your health insurance provider.
