Senior Physiotherapist and Pilates Instructor
Louise qualified as a Physiotherapist in January 2013 when completing her masters at Leeds Metropolitan University. Prior to this she completed a bachelor of science degree in Sports and Exercise Science. Louise worked in the NHS for the first 8 years of her career specialising in treating muscle and joint problems.
She has been working in private Physiotherapy practice for the last 3 years and loves using manual treatment techniques alongside exercise and advice to help people move better and reduce their pain. Louise is trained in delivering acupuncture and uses it to treat people with pain. Louise has also worked at Leeds United Football Club managing and treating sports injuries in children and adolescents.
Louise is an APPI certified Pilates Instructor and has completed her Pre and Post Natal Pilates training. She loves to practice Pilates herself and it helped her rehabilitate her body after having her 2 children. She loves to share her expertise and own experience to help pre and post natal women manage the changes their bodies undergo during this time.
Louise is a mother of 2 children and in her spare time enjoys family days out and keeping active in the gym, running and playing netball.
What people have said about Louise...
I have osteoarthritis and underwent two hip replacements before the age of 50. Following both surgeries — the latest of which was 15 months ago — I struggled with ongoing pain and reduced mobility in both joints.
I have visited Louise five times and have been amazed by the progress I’ve made. Through her manipulation and massage on the scar tissue, the pain I was experiencing has been greatly reduced. I can now exercise for longer and feel my strength returning, which has improved both my flexibility and my mood, and I feel much more like my old self again.
Louise immediately made me feel at ease and is highly skilled at what she does, while also being easy to talk to. I had visited two other physiotherapists in the previous six months, but neither achieved the results Louise has and in such a short space of time. She has given me exercises/advice to follow at home that have really supported the work done in clinic, and is now reducing the frequency of my visits as my mobility and strength continue to improve. I only wish I had found Louise sooner and have recommended her to friends and family.- May 2026
I see Louise monthly for general support with a shoulder issue which she always manages to ease. Our sessions start with a review on how I’m feeling and any specific issues I need help with. Recently I had a problem with my sciatic nerve, Louise immediately got to work and offered acupuncture and massage. Within 24 hours I felt 100 times better and had no recurring pain. Louise is knowledgeable caring and offers great after care advice to keep things working as they should, I also attend her Pilates classes which are the highlight of my week. There is always a warm welcome from all the staff and especially Louise who clearly loves her work and it shows in the professional care and advice she provides.
