Sam qualified as a physiotherapist (MSc) in January 2011 at Leeds Metropolitan University and prior to this gained a BSc honours in Sports Science and Physiology. He currently works as a musculoskeletal physiotherapist at Leeds Community Healthcare, where he treats a wide range of musculoskeletal disorders and incorporates Pilates in his treatment programs. Sam has a special interest in vestibular assessment and rehabilitation and has recently contributed to a spinal stenosis research project, looking into better outcomes for older people with spinal trouble.
As well as completing his APPI Pilates level 1 qualification in 2012, he has practiced Pilates over the past 3 years as part of his own rehabilitation. He joined the Physiofit team in 2015 teaching small group classes.
